I have a user with no icons or status bar on the desktop. They are there in safe mode.

I have nearly the opposite problem. I have 70 icons on the ‘main’ part of the screen, 60 of which I don’t want. I can drop and drag them in the trash bin but they reappear each time I turn the computer off and on.
Bar could be in ‘hide’ mode and on any of the four sides…
All icons coming back? Clear off all you want to have gone and then go to the start - programs - accessories - system tools - regestry checker and let it set new point. Then power down and reboot.
