Hi, does anyone know the etiology of the phrase: “No longer shopping the pig”? I saw it used on the net. It’s supposedly used in Scotland now instead of “pushin’ up the daisies.”
Well, I can’t help you with the origin of the phrase, but when I saw the thread title I thought you were boycotting Piggley-Wiggley for some reason.
I doubt that has anything to do with it, though.
Damn, that was my first thought too! <img src=“http://www.elnet.com/~sburch/sjbgrin.gif”>
Enough of voting for the lesser of evils - vote Cthulhu 2000!
I forgot that was HTML…
I thought you were talking about not taking someone shopping any more.
I’ve learned that if someone says something unkind about me, I must live so that no one will believe it.
Well, I’m too embarrassed to say what I thought it meant. (And don’t you start on spanking the monkey!)
I thought you were boycotting Piggley-Wiggley for some reason.
Hey! There might be something to that. Do they have Piggley-Wiggleys in Scotland?
