Thanks, Mrsj!!! I think my friend is sort of near the end of breastfeeding, so I’m not sure if she’d buy the book outright. But she will need recipes for the holidays and some good bits of the book are on Google Books!
Oh and just to report…I had the second game night last week. I made spaghetti and meatballs. I used a jar of Prego sauce (no soy, no dairy) and got pre-made meatballs from the butcher counter at the grocery store. I was there to buy my own meatball ingredients but I saw the pre-made ones and asked to see the ingredients. The person at the counter showed me the package of seasoning/breadcrumbs they used and it was dairy and soy free too. Score!
Turns out I am attracting all sorts of people with dietary restrictions. This last party had the No Milk, No Soy woman, a pregnant woman who couldn’t stomach red sauce but craved meat (had meatballs with no sauce), my vegetarian roommate (had sauce with no meatballs) and a guy with a peanut allergy.
I was able to feed everyone. Snap!
