I don’t know that this would work for legs (the strips are not really big enough), but I use Sally Hansen wax strips for my eyebrows and bikini line, and they are wonderful! They are little plastic strips with wax sandwiched between them. You cut the strip to size, rub the strip between your hands to warm it, then peel it apart and apply. It even comes with oil for removing excess, which works wonderfully. I have never been bothered by the brief pain of waxing. It’s over so fast you hardly notice it. The epilady, on the other hand, should be banned under the Geneva Convention.
Hear! Hear!
(Although I do think the free market system and WOM has actiually taken care of this for us/womankind.)
I hate shaving too, I always nick my knees (and it hurts, especially when it tubs against my pants).
I actually use Nair in the summer, when I have to shave everyday (in the winter, I cut back to 3-4 times a week). It takes care of business for about a week, and it does smell but it only takes about 20 minutes.
I get my eyebrows waxed and shave my underarms (it works well when you shave up and down, left and right, then back).
Please, if you do use Nair, do not put it anywhere near your pubic hair. Just trust me on this one. Do NOT Nair your pubic hair!!
Dear God, Nacho, what did you do?
And what’s the epilady…just so I know never to use it?

I found two kits in the store. One was called called “Honey Wax” and the other was “Sugar Wax.” Is this the same thing as sugaring?
The Epilady is described as a multi-system disc epilator that supposedly “makes hair removal virtually painless” by using a series of high-speed rotating disks to rip hair out by the roots.
I believe the very first model was discovered in the remains of a medieval torture chamber.
Since I started using “men’s” razors, I have about 75% fewer cuts than when I used the Lady Bic or equivalents. Plus I only have to buy one type of razor for hubby and I - though make sure that we keep our razors segregated!! I use the green Schick disposable razors now - I think they’re the ones with Vitamin E moisturizers.
Nair is really stinky, plus it doesn’t work well (in my experience) unless the hair is a certain length, but not too long either. It is a pain to apply, and the bottle is not QUITe enough for two applications, but too much to pitch after one use, you know?
I’ve always wondered why guys don’t wax/sugar/Nair their faces. Is it somehow more manly to gash yourself and go out sporting little Japanese flags?

Nads is also a sugaring product, only one you don’t have to heat first. It has a thick gel consistency and smells (and tastes) pretty tasty.
A few things about Nads:
It’s not “painless” like the inventor says repeatedly.
It didn’t work well enough on my fairly sparse leg hair for me to take the time to regularly do my legs with it. That’s OK - I don’t shave half the year anyway, and when I am smooth, I don’t like to let the leg hair grow to the length necessary for waxing/sugaring.
I’m not about to even try it on my pits or bikini line.
It worked great for eyebrow shaping. Since you don’t have to heat it and it’s mostly sugar, you don’t have to worry about using it on really sensitive area such as the face. It took way less time than plucking takes.
It works great on hairy backs. Bill the Galactic Hero has me do his back for him every now and then when he gets liquored up enough to deal with the pain.
To answer two questions I saw here:
The only sugaring system I’ve used is Alexandria, but I can recommend it highly.
I believe that the sugar wax probably is the same as sugaring. That’s all it really seems to be. Like wax, but with a sugar base.
