I had eight wisdom teeth out many years ago, and tend to get very painful canker sores over the sites. Today is my lower left jaw. Thanks for bringing it up!
Keep an eye out for any weirdness. I had my last two taken out on April 28 and recently noticed that my arm was still bruised along the vein from the IV. It doesn’t hurt or anything, but the vein feels a little hard and it’s a little swollen. From what I’ve read online, it appears to be a somewhat benign condition that I just need to talk to my doctor about. Of course, my health insurance at my new job doesn’t kick in until a week from thursday, so I’m weighing my options over whether I should go in before that.
So keep an eye on your IV arm for a while
I’m headed out today to get a check-up for dry socket. I’ve got one that hurts like a bitch and won’t stop until it’s been pounded in to submission with vicodin and orajel.
I wish I’d gotten to keep my wisdom teeth when they took them out. I didn’t even get to see them.
I wish they had done that for me. Just recently I had to have a small cavity filled (first one since I was 10, yay me!) and he just injected me directly. And it hurt. Ow.
I’ve had both and I honestly couldn’t tell a huge difference between having the numbing agent and not having it. Either way it hurts for a second and then not so much.
This is the part that scares me most when I have to get mine taken out. I hate needles with an undying passion, but the thought of getting an IV just freaks me the hell out.
