Hey, we had someone leave us a note asking us if we wanted to sell our house! And it is most definitely not for sale!
I always get unsolicited offers on my motorcycles.
I should probably take them. But they are never enough.
A fool and his money are some party.
Everything’s for sale – just not necessarily at a reasonable price. If I were you, I’d ask “How much will you give me for it?” Maybe someone is willing to shell out so much you’d be better off taking them up on it. That is, they might pay enough that you could go buy another one, or two. No harm in asking.
I had someone ask me how much my motor scooter was the FIRST DAY I ever even drove it! My second stop! “Hey, nice scooter- how much?” Um, leave me alone! It’s MINE MINE MINE!
Hey, nice car. Looks expensive. What is it?
Thanks, it’s a 1962 Studebaker, GT Hawk.
Wow, that’s rare. Do you want to sell it? What’s a car like that worth?
No, I don’t want to sell it. It’s my toy.
Well what’s it worth?
I don’t know, probably between $12-15K.
I’ll give ya eigth for it.
Sigh It happens enough to make it really annoying.
OTOH, there are a lot of people that enjoy old cars and are interested in learning some of the details about it and Studebakers in general. These folks are always a pleasure to talk with and I don’t mind opening the hood and trunk, or letting them sit in it.
We get these every 6 months or so.
