No offense to Phlegs...

Thanks, Inner Stickler. 45% Melancholy, 20% Phlegmatic, 18% Sanguine, 18% Choleric.

And woe be unto the fellow Melancholic who dares rearrange my stuff.

My results: 75% Melancholy, 15% Phlegmatic, 0% Sanguine, 10% Choleric.

Right now, sounds like you are. And what’s with using Verdana instead of the default font?

Check out this thread in ATMB, Captain Carrot.

Dang. Phlegmatic (53%)/Melancholy (20%). Then there’s Sanguine (15%) and Choleric (13%) and notes about strength and weakness. I sent the email to home, so I don’t have any explaination that might be sent. I hope there’s more to it than just this.

The email just reiterates your percentages and includes a link to all of the personality types and their strengths and weaknesses in bullet point format. No nice short paragraphs to get an idea of the personality. Very disappointing.

Go on Fluoxetine? It’s supposed to do good things with both depression and OCD. :slight_smile:

Obligatory Wikipedia reference: Four temperaments - Wikipedia.

Yeah, that was one of the first places I went when I was trying to figure out what you meant by Phlegmatic and Melancholic. I just wanted the website with the test to have something similar.

Wow. Must be something in the ether - I was just going to start a thread myself about people who don’t accept criticism. If they don’t accept criticism well, they also don’t want to be told that they don’t accept criticism well. It’s a thorny one.

I expect my red light saber is in the mail? :cool:

Well, I am a librarian …

Melancholy/Phlegmatic

30% Melancholy Strength: 4 Weakness: 8

25% Phlegmatic Strength: 5 Weakness: 5

25% Sanquine Strength: 6 Weakness: 4

20% Chloric Strength: 5 Weakness: 5

Great. Now base all your physical science on the Four Elements of greek philosophy.

Oh, and your font is funny-looking too. :wink:

I reckon you bust a gut each time you post. :stuck_out_tongue: The text box you type in uses Verdana font! :smiley:

From viewing the source:

TEXTAREA, .bginput {
	FONT-SIZE: 12px;
	FONT-FAMILY: Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;
	COLOR: #000000;
	BACKGROUND-COLOR: #CFCFCF

Then why doesn’t it look like your script at all? To me it looks like Arial here in my text box.

Melancholic 18%
Phlegmatic 38%
Sanguine 30%
Choleric 15%

As to the cups situation, i’d happily rearrange it if asked to. Of course, i’d also make sure to mess up a napkin ever so slighty, or put a condiment holder slightly askew. :slight_smile:

Melancholy Strength:9 Weakness:8 43%
Phlegmatic Strength:5 Weakness:6 28%
Sanguine Strength:1 Weakness:1 5%
Choleric Strength:4 Weakness:5 23%

Unarranged coffee cups speaks volumes IMO.

My husband and I have a mug tree, the kind with two layers of branches poking out on four sides to hang mugs from. For years, I would notice the mugs were facing the wrong way now and then and fix them. I liked mugs that were on the same level and opposite sides to point in the same direction. I kept finding them with one pointing in the opposite direction.

This went on until my husband saw me correcting the mug situation and without consciously registering it, really, corrected it back to his way. :smack: Up until that point it hadn’t occurred to me that he was also compulsively arranging mugs.

Now I switched to doing it his way because although my way is better to scratch that particular brain itch, I’d rather have us both doing it a consistent way. Also, when we moved house we demoted the mug tree to a small corner and most of the mugs live on a shelf.

I don’t have any humours. Not even one.

It’s been my experience that no one asks for advice, they ask for validation. If you’re close enough to the person you can appeal to them with a convincing enough argument and maybe they’ll listen, but that’s the best you can do.
