I wonder if part of the radio silence was advised by lawyers during his impeachment trial. He might be waiting it out to see how popular he is in a month or two.

Apparently Trump sent out an “email statement” on the acquittal three days ago, and has just sent another one essentially calling McConnell a poopyhead.
So I’m guessing that the (doubtless largely ghostwritten) email statement send to news outlets is going to be his medium of choice for the present.
Well, if he is going to be generating a Public Announcement/Press Release like people did in normal times back before antisocial media, I have no objection.
It’s up to the media outlets to decide to exercise editorial discretion and NOT do a repeat of 2015 and breathlessly report on every last line coming from him however inane.
I read his statement about Moscow Mitch was released by his PAC. Couldn’t the PAC operate a blog or set of videos?
If Trump ever wants to run for office, I don’t think a PAC can become his verbatim mouthpiece.
Trump went on 2, 3 networks last night and, comparably to the last 5 years, not a damn soul bothered to report on what he said. I don’t think it was even posted here.
Trump is on Telegram, but not very active. His posts read like they were vetted by a decent lawyer.
