Nokia 1260- How do I work this??

After having a pager for some 9+ years, I finally got my first cell phone. (I know, I know, real cutting edge here.) I prefer not to keep this thing on me at all times, so I’m trying to get it to do what my pager did: beep once every minute or so, or some other sort of indication when a call comes in and I’m not around to take it, and/or they leave a voice mail. I’ve tried the “pager” profile, and all the various profile customizations to no avail. The manual is of no help; it tells how to set the various profile customizations, but not what they are, or do. The Nokia website only apes the manual.

Anyone else have this phone and can help a poor, tech-retarded bro?

No Nokia (AFAIK – at least none of the 6 or so that I’ve had) has an audible reminder for missed calls. The screen will show that you have a missed call and / or a voicemail, but it won’t beep. The only phone I’ve ever owned that would do this was a Motorola.
