I need to buy a new ball glove (mine was stolen, along with my truck). Nomar Garciaparra is pretty much my favorite ball player, so I would like to use the same glove he uses.
I did a search for Nomar fansites, but didn’t find any info on his glove.
To my knowledge he used SSK until recently and is now using Rawlings. I would like to verify the brand and find out the model number.

There’s a Fogdog page with Nomar’s glove.
Just bear in mind that, even if you get the same model number glove as Nomar, you likely will not get a glove the same as Nomar’s. My son had a Mizuno glove that “died” prematurely. I called Mizuno and complained. They offered to make it right if we would come to their factory located not far from my house. We went and, in addition to going over and beyond to make the glove situation right, they also gave my son and I a tour of the factory. The pro equipment was kept in a separate area under lock and key. Each piece is custom made for that player. Some players do use an “off the shelf” glove but they are becoming few and far between.
As an aside, the rep showed us a newly made pro catcher’s mitt designed to handle a 100 mph fastball. It was so stiff I couldn’t close it using two hands. Talk about a long break-in period.
