The only thing I like about Bush is that when I hear him talking on tv I can understand him without looking at the subtitles.
Otherwise the fact that a man like that has so much power disturbs me greatly.
So yeah, I don’t like him.

Bad. Very very bad.
I referred to to the election as ‘trying to select the lesser of two evils’.
New Zealand, here.
I dislike the foreign policies of Bush and his cabinet. While JohnBckWLD says: “…but he’s ours…not yours”, that is fairly meaningless against the label of “Leader of the Free World”, and the international impact his decisions have.
The majority of the free world didn’t vote for him. But we have to bear the brunt of the policies he decides and carries out.
Count me in as another negative.
Taking into consideration that I’m politically conservative, and would probably be a Republican voter were I American:
I didn’t particularly like him at first. Like many others, I he was stupid. Now I’m not so sure he deserves a lot of the criticism he gets. I think he’s human, he believes in what he is doing, and he’s a fair bit smarter than he is given credit for. I think he’s ok.
I liked Clinton too. Clinton was fun, however he was a slimeball at the same time, IMHO. He was also a hard act to follow. Clinton is cunning, Bush is simple. But he isn’t dumb.

Despise the little rat fucker. (negative)
I have always believed P J O’Rourke, “Politics is the business of getting power and privilege without possessing merit,” and while I think most politicians are duds, Bush’s election was just frightening. It’s just astounding to sit back and think that a political party that represents roughly half on the US searched for their best and brightest and GWB was the answer. Politics is simply a joke that I don’t get anymore. Not only don’t I know anyone who likes Bush, I don’t know anyone who thinks he won the election fair and square.
Australia.
I don’t hate him.
I’m worried, concerned and a little scared about what he might do next. And I’m disgusted by what he already has done.
Yeah, count me in as a negative.
Yeah, like Americans didn’t have opinions about about France, this past winter.
Just curious, are you Native-american?
I dislike Bush.
(I also dislike the loaded thread title and the low hum of ‘he’s our president, not yours’)
Scotland.
Not a fan.
UK, I fear and despise him.
UK. I dislike Bush for his visible lack of diplomatic awareness and apparent inability to see this as a weakness, as well as his reckless disregard for the need to treat relations with other countries as important.
dislike him and his slurred speach.
immensely.
American here, so I’m not voting. Just want to respond to this comment:
My opinion about France is that they should be respected for doing what they believe is best. Their requests to the Security Council were reasonable and I thought so at the time. The people who ridiculed the French by changing the name of French fries or pouring French wine in the street got too much media coverage. I saw no coverage at all about those of us who think that Bush’s reaction to France was juvenile, punitive and ill-conceived.
… another Kiwi here, another vote in the negative…
Isle of Man (originally England)
I think he is amazingly dumb (‘amazingly’ because he is The fucking President of America - how the fucking hell did that happen?)
And don’t give me the excuse “speaking dumb does not equal being dumb” it does. And “he surrounds himself with clever people” well what is the point of him then?
And it’s not foreign jealousy/sour grapes etc - I was a fan of your previous president.
The horrid little man has caused me to dislikeify him intensiveanously.
I come from Ireland (that’s the the little green dot that’s to the far left (geographically) of Europe).
Australian living in the US here.
Dislike him, his administration and his policies intensely, and am quite worried for the future of America and the world as long as he remains in power.
Zoe - I know, but that comment about “He’s our president, so there” just rubbed me the wrong way. Even Americans not bright enough to find NYC on a map have opinions about things outside the US. Not being American citizens, will not deny us the right to an opinion. Especially in this forum and in this thread.
