No need to limit them. There won’t be any. It was already announced that commuting of the sentences of the two Border Patrol Agents was the last. He was not the pardon machine that Clinton or Reagan was.
The only problem with this is, it isn’t. A good point, that is. Stealing is illegal. Bush was held by the highest court in the land to be entitled to the presidency. You may not like that - and there have been plenty of Supreme Court decisions that I haven’t liked over the years - but by definition if the Supreme Court says so, that makes it legal.
ETA: And to the OP, since Reagan didn’t die in office it’s obvious that not every president elected in a year ending in zero has died while in office. I know what you meant, but still…
whooooooooooooosh!
You really think he hasn’t been in charge for the last eight years?
Well, there’s still about an hour left, perhaps he could slip and fall and break his neck? Or someone tries to shoot Obama and he shields him with his own body because he knows that everyone loves Obama and if he saves his life his approval ratings will go up?
Biden is now VP, but Obama is not yet sworn in, so if anything happens to Bush during the music, Biden becomes the 44th President & Obama is 45th.
UNLESS BIDEN DECLARES MARTIAL LAW AND DOESN’T LET OBAMA SWEAR IN!
It’s done. Bush beat it! Haw haw!
God bless & protect President Obama!
The Bush-bashing threads are dead! Long live the Obama-bashing threads!
First up - he screwed up the oath of office!
Everybody’s Kung fu fightin!
At long last, we can finally discuss impeaching Obama.
What it sounded like to me was screwing up an opportunity to make CJ Roberts look like a putz.
Let me be the first to say that Obama will declare martial law and suspend the (checks math) 2012 elections. Its true I tell ya.
Yeah, and that Rick Warren guy, with his “Our Father, who art in Heaven” stuff? That sounds real familiar, I think he lifted that.
Still, its good to see they’ve found a worthy successor for Maya Angelou.
So does the latest development mean that, by the law of Tippecanoe, *Kennedy *should have been the President?
Still true if you include brain dead.
Just think, if Tippecanoe hadn’t been stymied by the 2000 theft, we might now have President Joe Lieberman.
Prolly a good thing, huh?
Actually, it’s speculated that on 9/11 Flight 84 was going to target the White House. So there was an attempted assassination. Yes, I know Bush wasn’t there.
Cheney missed.
(Although a Pres not being shot is not the same as the VP shooting someone, it is close enough to keep the tradition alive.)
Or, if Reagan hadn’t broken it, we would have had Bush I that much sooner. (Whether or not that would have been a good thing, I can’t say. At least he wasn’t a moron.)
