North Carolina passes hateful Amendment 1

He’ll feed them? Oh, ok then.

“… into the ovens!”

“To Serve Gays.”

…and I just want to inter you until that salvation happens…however long it takes…until you fucking die out…

Wow, Worley must be super Gay.

“And just to be safe, we’ll have to keep all the god-fearing straights from reproducing too, because every gay person out there is the product of a man and a woman. Give having babies a moratorium of about 50 years, and boom! The problem of gay people being born is solved.”

I can’t think of a better way for her to get her nephews to vote YES than that.

Can gay people get marriend inside the fence? If so it sounds like a win-win.

I’m telling you all, some mainstream religion needs to declare as part of their doctrinal beliefs that marriage is between two people who love each other, regardless of gender. Turn this whole thing into a 1st amendment fight. if your religion doesn’t like it, they don’t have to do it, but don’t infringe on the rights of other philosophical/religious beliefs.

ooh, other quick idea: we can put all the homosexuals in their fence, but only if we can put all the froth-at-the-mouth-I-hate-anything-the-Bible-lets-me-conservative-christians in another fenced in preserve, where the water is laced with birth control.

Some of the “liberal Christian” camps are into this, I’m not sure what the First Amendment relevance is though.

This is one of the best presentations of this argument that I’ve ever heard. I hope you don’t mind I posted this quote on Facebook.

easy, well, “gay marriage is a part of our belief structure. your state law/consttitutional amendment violates our freedom of religious expression. The US Bill of Rights says that you can’t do that.” Abracadabra, you now have a 1st amendment case on your hands.

Why can’t those fucking asshole dickwad inbred caveman moron single-helix chucklehead hicks show some empathy, already?

You… you don’t actually know how First Amendment cases work, do you?

Hey, I’m a liberal Christian. But I didn’t know about getting to go to camp!

I may be misreading him but I think he’s describing the faulty but omnipresent arguments that anti-gay religious groups frequently make. I’m not reading his post as endorsing it, just describing it. “Marriage equality violates our first amendment rights” is a frequent (and obviously fallacious) argument that these jerks tend to advance.

Uh, are you aware that the Noachide Covenant, as interpreted by traditional Jewish scholarship, does ban gay sex? It doesn’t ban mixed fiber clothing or eating shellfish but the law against “sexual immorality” is consistently held to include gay sex.

So this is a weird discussion in which to try to defend the Noachide laws as not being oppressive. I mean, apparently Ha’Shem holds “don’t murder” and “don’t have gay sex” as equivalent commandments.

Would a federal law declaring marriage to be between a man and a woman be placing undue burden on Episcopal churches?

Well, the government isn’t preventing the “free exercise” of Episcopal churches to perform same-sex marriages - they just don’t legally recognize the result.
