North Korean Argumets Become Irelavant.

The end is near for PRNK.

Link-Link

Once people start eating each other, the total collapse of social order is not far off.

5 years, tops, before UN forces enter NK–as fammine relief teams, not warriors.

If things are getting that messy, then perhaps we should be more worried about who controls the nukes, not less. If all control is lost, then it could very well the serious nutjobs who end up with their fingers on the button…

Speechless

Is the end near, though? If the population is that malnourished, and Kim and his minions are still living in the lap of luxury, what hope have they of rebelling?

Also, there have been countless reports of Cannibalism from Communist China over the years, but that regime endures.

Bibliovore’s right. They’re killing children for food, and I can’t see how this is going to turn into anything but ugly very quickly.

Don’t be so sure. The thing is, most of North koreas population, is well, extraneous. And the leadership controls the food and the guns. The people who are starving are starving because they have no power - the military gets all the food they want. Control of fod has become a political commodity in North Korea, and the government wields it like a blunt weapon.

I differ in opinion in that I don’t think there will be any huge revolt. The ugliness will, as always, be kept below the surface in North korea, while the official Stalinist party line will be that nothing is happening at all.

I have to agree with smiling bandit. Cannibalism is widely alleged to have occurred in the Soviet Union during Stalin’s intentionally induced famine, and in China during the Cultural Revolution of the '60s, neither of which toppled soon after.

Arguably, in the Soviet case, the cannibalism was confined to a region, as a result of policies intending to break the will of that region. In the case of China, similarly, the cannibalism may have been orchestrated as a psychological warfare tactic to crush dissent. North Korea might very well fall into either or both of these categories itself, however.

This just in. Chocolate rations are being increased to 2 grams a week.

I couldn’t resist.
