Not fit for military service - why?

D-Odds

All the branches have their little quirks.

I’m still stressing over the 20/900 stuff. Even with correction I’m sure that would spell no-go to any military service.

Unless, of course, your dog is also accepted into the K-9 corps.

And I’ve heard that the AF trains for fifteen minutes or so in Basic with the M-15, and then never lays eyes on a weapon again. I guess in the event of combat, they’d have to keep the M-16s away from the AF so they won’t hurt themselves, LOL.

Talked to Hubster. He was an Army Recruiter, and he said the cutoff for UNCORRECTED vision was 20/200.

Sorry, M-16

I think I forgot to take my vitamins, LOL

WOW, the point D-Odds was trying to make is that there were no universal AF recruiting based on all personnel being physically “flight-capable”, as distinct from all Army recruits being “combat capable” (I’m sure the same would go for the Marines).

Jimbo

Yeah, I got that part.

No matter WHAT branch, though, there are still minimum standards. According to Hubster, 20/200 uncorrected vision is the cutoff.

(oh, and it’s “VOW”…LOL, “WOW” is what you say when you experience my wit and eloquence…)
