"Not Going Out" on BBCA. Anyone watch it?

I don’t know if there’s already a thread on this show, since the Boards won’t let me search on “Not going out”.

I recorded and watched this show from BBC America without really knowing anything about it. I’m sure I missed some of the “Britishisms” (yeah, I know that’s not a word but you get my meaning) but I did find myself laughing out loud a lot. And the fact that a main character is an American woman helped with the accent difficulties

Anyone else watching this show? Whaddya think?

There was one interchange that I know I’ll get wrong here, but went something like this:

Character 1: How you been doing?
Character 2: Fine, I went before I came.

The implication was that the first question was actually “have you been (ahem) ‘regular’?” with the answer being “yes I had a successful bathroom visit earlier”.

Can someone remember what the exchange actually was? And also explain how it means what it seems to mean?

Thanks,
J.

No idea re the bathroom humor (which in UK can get fairly odd, IMO), but the term “Britishism” does exist, whether the Brits like it or not.

My one bump…
