Not gonna cry not gonna cry not gonna cry

Good luck in the new career.

I had to leave a team that was as close to me as family. I was laid off. My new job is paying considerably more, but you can’t buy the closeness we had. Maybe I’ll have it with the new group, but maybe not.

Keep in mind it is only goodbye if you want it to be. You have the power to keep in touch.

Good luck with the new job, twicks.

Did you post somewhere (that I obviously missed reading) what the new job is?
And I can’t believe no one’s asked the obvious question - what were the movies you got?

Well twickster, it could be worse, you could be saying good bye to US! Then we’d all be crying!
Good luck in the “Job Of My Dreams” I mean, “Your Dreams”. My dreams have no job in them.

Funny, stock prices on Kleenex went up today… reading the paper
I’m kidding. Congratulations on your new job! hugs

New job.

Cafe Society denizens know I love musicals, and that I worship Fred Astaire. Thus:

Boxed set I: Astaire and Rogers Collection, Volume 1 (Top Hat, Swing Time, Barkleys of Broadway, Follow the Fleet, Shall We Dance)

Boxed set II: Broadway to Hollywood (The Band Wagon, Finian’s Rainbow [which, amazingly enough, I’ve never seen), and Easter Parade, all of which star Fred, plus Brigadoon and Bells Are Ringing)

Plus a contender for possibly my favorite (non-Fred) musical ever, All That Jazz.

Yeah, I’m set for the next blizzard!

Well, you’ll be getting paid closer to what you’re worth, anyway. If they paid you what you were worth, they’d go belly-up your first week on the job. Congrats, Twix.

So…didja cry?

Judging by the presents, you really left a gerat group of people!

As Khadaji said earlier, leaving them doesn’t mean goodbye forever.

I’ve been lucky enough to work with several excellent groups of people. Some of my former co-workers are still close friends. We don’t see each other as often, of course, but we meet for lunch or dinner and keep up on each others’ lives.

Good luck on Monday!!

Nah, I didn’t actually cry. Misted up a couple of times, but the only time the moisture was in actual danger of escaping my eyes in significant quantities was first thing in the morning, when I found the present from the kids. Which they labeled as being from “the kids.” ** sniff **

Awwww…makes it extra-cool.
