I would add; then Biologically a fertile egg is a chicken, an apple blossom an apple, a horse fetus is a horse? It is true a fetus has human life, but one doesn’t look at a fetus or a frozen embryo and say, “Oh, what a cute little baby”.
It seems to me that pro-choice people are just as pro -life people it is just that pro-choice people care more for the already born and the So called pro life people once it is born don’t want to pay the taxes or help out the mother for the 18 years it is living on earth. If they were really pro-life they would also consider the Mother’s life and the child or other children she has already given birth to. One need look to places where there is no teaching or Birth control like Haiti where the people even die trying to get to the USA by boat. A dependable Birth Control , would eliminate a lot of need for abortions, and it should be the decision of the Parents and if a woman is unmarried could have her tubes tied if she so chose that.
I know too many marriages that were not happy ones because the couple had to wait until they were possibly able to have sex without the worry of conceiving when it is a burden on the Woman and the husband.
It seems to me that there are really almost no actual pro-choice people, and few pro-life people. Most sane people agree that abortion should be accessible in some circumstances (at a minimum for: rape, incest, baby abnormity, danger to health of mother, etc.) and only up to a certain week of pregnancy (12th week or 16th week or whatever). What remains is only to agree on a compromise on the details. Compromises are most often found by not exaggerating the differences of opinion or assigning people to specific boxes.
The argument of the OP is foolish since it is based on a dubious analogy and the same argument can be used to argument for abortion up to the 9th month, which for obvious reasons is considered extremists and few people will ever support. It’s also not novel: the same argument is often used by extreme libertarians.
