I borrowed the movie “The Railroad Children” from the library without reading the box. It’s a nice movie, but not about the orphan trains as I expected. Which has made me long to read a book or three on the subject.
I’ve read some before, but they’ve all been mean for young readers. So does anyone know of any adult-reader novels with orphan trains as a premise? Or failing that, non-fiction book, preferably a personal account. I’m not really interested in a book that examines the practice and its history.
