Pelosi has taken impeachment “off the table” and thus she too should be “impeached” by the Democratic Party. She is ignoring the constitution, she is allowing Bush’s acts to set precedent, and she is enabling the continued slaughter of our heroes. All in the name of politics.

Their is no other issue here–everything this administration has done has been worse than a failure. All bad things have been made much worse. Every federal agency has either been lessened or destroyed. Our courts have been politicized alongside the corruption of the US Attorneys offices. Yet Pelosi wants to keep the destroyer in office.

Thus, Pelosi is the stumbling block to returning our troops and our constitutional rights. She is enabling the decider. She wants to stop the fiasco in Iraq through the back door, knowing that the super majorities aren’t there. She wants to show up the Republicans more than she wants to stop the bloodbath.

Bushies changed the rules in DC. Blowjobs are impeachable, fraud and profiteering, corruption and cronyism, are not. Bush is the Devil, Pelosi is not the exorcist. She’s gotta go–now.

I didn’t know it was possible to be this naive.

1. Even if she did begin impeachment proceedings and it makes it out of the Judicial Committee, there are not enough votes in the Senate to remove.

2. If he is removed, Cheney takes over and gets to appoint a Vice President.

3. Pelosi cannot be impeached: the precedent was set during the impeachment proceedings of William Blount in the late 1700s. The House can vote on expulsion, but they cannot impeach their own members.

4. Let’s be realistic. Bush has very little time left and as a lame duck President can do little more than obstruct the Democratic agenda and lead to the further ruin of the Republican Party.

I guess it takes all kinds, but come on. Pelosi, whether you love her or hate her, isn’t doing anything egregiously wrong that would warrant removal. The fact that a Kos-head would stump for getting rid of her speaks to, well, I just don’t know. It simply makes no sense to me. It’s the kind of thing you would expect from the Freepers.

We don’t want to ruin the Republican Party, we want to save our country. If ruining the Republican Party will accomplish that end, so be it. As your correspondent from the conservative wing of the extreme left, I think that *saving * the Republican Party from the knuckle walking trogs who have seized power is the approach to be preferred.

There must be a conservative party, a car needs brakes as much as it needs an engine. And we, like they, need someone to blame…

How can the Republican Party reclaim the trust of the American people when we do not expect our leadership to live up to the standards they themselves say they will uphold? If we don’t clean our own house in this off year, can we really blame the voters for not wanting to put the GOP back in power next year?

The only thing that would satisfy me would be not only a Bush/Cheney impeachment, but their extradition to The Hague for War Crimes. They need to be behind bars, damnit. I know that this is unlikely to happen, so I’ll grudgingly accept watching the Republicans dig their own political graves as a consulation prize.

I take special note that the first clause of the military oath is to support and defend the constitution against all enemies. Following orders is secondary.

Makes you wonder if the recent careless hemorrhage of personnel from the armed services isn’t a planned move similar to high employee turn-over in large soulless corporations. Stock the ranks with newbies of a particular ideology…

I applaud Airman Doors for being a more thorough reader of Kos than even myself, and for the fact that his concern for the future of the Democratic party has led him to call out the more extreme opinions expressed there. Right on, man!

Okay, I don’t actually believe for a second that Airman Doors came by this honestly, nor that he is very concerned about what the “Kos-heads” actually say or think. I think it’s a bullshit faux-outrage expose (imagine an accent aigu over the last “e” there).
