Has this ever happened to anybody else? Whenever I eat a wild bluberry flavor Jellybelly[sup]TM[/sup] (At least i think that’s what flavor it’s supposed to be. I looked it up on the Jellybelly web site and it looks like the same color) the weirdest thing happens. It’s as if I’ve suddenely inhaled a strong dose of perfume. I also get a aftertaste as if I’ve eaten pefume. Does anybody have any ideas as to why this happens?
I’ve had a similar thing happen to me. I don’t remember if it was Jellybellies or what I was eating, but I think it was a fruit flavor. I just assumed it was the chemicals they used to create the artificial fruit flavor and avoided that flavor. I’m sensitive to a lot of artificial flavors (e.g., I can taste red dye), so it didn’t strike me as odd, though now that you brought it up, it is a little weird. Oh, well.
If you actually like that flavor, you might want to ask an Aussie to send you some Musk Lifesavers.
There’s a description and a picture of them here, http://www.cybercandy.co.uk/aaasmt/index.php/url_indprod?xlc=105
