I don’t have an article to link to right now, but apparently Elmo has banned Liam Nissan’s account because Nissan exposed Elmo’s sock puppet, “Adrian Dittmann”, whose account was dedicated to laughing at Elmo’s jokes and telling him what a good father he is.
“#FreeLiamNissan” is one of the top trends right now, and I wouldn’t have known about this if not for that, which once again proves that Elmo does not understand the Streisand Effect.
ETA: I’m actually reading “Dittmann’s” Twitter feed right now and the sock puppetry is so blatant that Elmo wouldn’t last half an hour on the Dope before getting banned.
