I saw a video of that thing strobing. If it were flashing into my window I’d be soooo pissed off. The lighting, at least, couldn’t have been more aggressively obnoxious if someone had set out consciously to be as aggressively obnoxious as humanly possible.
Did you see any of the videos of that thing illuminating and flashing? Highly disturbing.

I’ve also seen reports that the X was held in place with sandbags and that lights were already starting to “droop” off of it. That thing was DEFINITELY going to kill someone when (not if) it fell off the building.
It wouldn’t have killed them if they were . . . agile…
I didn’t see any videos - these things suck up too much oxygen as it is. Obviously some symbols are beyond the pale. Perhaps he should have skipped the light fandango.

Now that it’s be reported in various sources, I wanted to bring up one specific chunk:
