In fairness, Elmo did not pay $44 billion. He got some other suckers to fork over a few billions. Then, through financial shenanigans he had Twitter take out a $12 billion dollar loan to help buy itself. He’s in for, a not insubstantial, $9 billion of his Tesla stock (which I value microscopically above cryptocurrencies IMHO).

For what it’s worth I was using “stoned” as a reference to any and all of the various pharmaceuticals Elon is currently enjoying. But if people think that’s too narrowly associated with weed, then feel free to substitute “ripped to the tits.”
