I think most of us in South Africa, aside from the far-right lunatic fringe, would be happy to be rid of Mr. Musk. He is not an Afrikaaner, more like someone (like myself) who would be described as a “soutpiel” - a vulgar term for a non-Afrikaans speaker, most likely of British descent.
