That Grokipedia entry on Apartheid is a dangerous combination of subtly biased, obviously biased and blatantly cherry picked from better sources.
An example:
”Accompanying industrialization was increased black urbanization, from 20% of the black population in cities in 1960 to over 40% by 1980, fostering a nascent black middle class through skilled employment and entrepreneurship.”
That may be a factually accurate statement, but it rather obviously ignores the huge demographic shifts that occurred prior to the 1960s when the Group Areas Act forced people from their homes.
It also makes multiple claims about the economy that are directly contradicted by the fact that Apartheid was demonstrably a terrible policy economically, as was predicted by many in the pre-apartheid era.

It’s probably not by accident that the initial few sentences of each Grokopedia entry as shown in the preview sound reasonable on their face. All the evil propaganda is buried in the second and subsequent paragraphs. As a way of lowering folks’ defenses as they wade into the raging garbage that’s the rest of the article.
I mean, technically, the apartheid government did manage to provoke sufficient resistance so that they were overthrown.

I’m with you 100% on this. So often I see complaints that I (or someone else) didn’t explain the contents of a link extensively enough. That’s what the fucking link is for, if you are interested enough to click it, do, if not then just move the fuck on.
Bare links with no context, I can see the validity of that complaint - a “look at this cool vid” link absent other context, sure, bitch away.
But the post under discussion had context. It’s in this thread about what a chud Musk is, and the links are explicitly stated as to his Nazipedia.
