Now that Elon Musk has bought Twitter - now the Pit edition (Part 2)

What’s the point in being rich if you can’t arrange for the little people to dance (and fight) for your entertainment?

See? Elmo didn’t do anything wrong; it’s those murderous migrants beheading people making people angry, not billionaires spreading falsehoods over their own social media empires.

Checks notes.

Oh, so no one was beheaded? Well, it’s still pretty horrible that someone was murdered.

Checks notes again

Oh, so the knife attack victim isn’t even dead? His condition is improving? His family has released a statement that they don’t want their tragedy used to fuel violence?

Umm… hmmm… free-speech absolutist!

I’m looking for a balanced account of the Belfast unrest. I’m thinking of perhaps an Irish post where they have some streaming info about the unrest this week.

What’s going on around Elmo’s left shoulder?

It’s sad that he generated an AI photo of his birthday party and didn’t even notice that no one else was around him. It’s probably that way in real life as well. I doubt if he has anyone who really cares about him as a person.

It reminds me of this picture of Kirk Cameron’s birthday party where he’s in an empty conference room blowing out his candles next to some Subway sandwiches:

Lawsuit against Grok & xAI after a man was discovered to have used Grok to make over 7,000 sexually explicit images of his stepdaughter using a single photo of her when she was 11.

Shielding? Grok is promoting them!

I’m gonna put 10,000 people on the Moon in ten years, says man who said 15 years ago that he’d put a man on Mars in ten years.

Wackos gonna wack. It’s no deeper than that.

Will any of these “thousands” survive the trip or the landing? Just asking questions.

Musk loses (but he won’t have to admit it) and pays 1% of the ill-gotten gains. DOJ bends the knee.

Elon Musk has settled the Twitter acquisition case with the SEC, for $1.5M to be paid from the trust he established for the purchase.

The judge said she had strong misgivings that the settlement represented favoritism by the Trump administration, since the penalty is only 1% of the $150M in ill-gotten gains.

And that it was submitted 3 minutes before the hearing. But the court does not have the power to override the DoJ, so she had no choice.

Musk is not required to admit wrongdoing in the settlement. Musk himself had stipulated that as a condition.

On the self-awareness scale, Elmo is deep in negative numbers.

SpaceX shares drop below IPO price.

The right people got their money and got out. Sucks to be the wrong people.

Exactly according to plan.

Eh. I remember when Tesla stock slide and we all laughed, and then it righted itself. Who knows where this will end up.

Yeah, while I personally don’t believe that the fundamentals of SpaceX support the stock price, the market often has a way of ignoring my opinion. And stocks getting a bump right after IPO that settles down is the norm.

The problem with SpaceX is that at its IPO, the market cap was at two billion dollars, or already one of the most valuable companies in the world. So where is the growth potential?
