Someone needs to remind Elon that the SCOTUS decision that the POTUS is immune to criminal prosecution for doing an “official act” doesn’t apply to anyone else.
Or don’t, and we can watch him be incarcerated and/or deported.

That’s right. There’s no one to enforce any court rulings, so they are irrelevant.
@Leaper was on to something with the comment about other powerful people. It’s possible that some heads of some powerful corporations may be starting to doubt that having Elon Musk be God Emperor will be good for them. Or even if Musk has what he wants and will stop, even just Trump’s beloved chaos–that may not be good for the companies, either.
Do they have armies? No. But we haven’t gone so far that Donald doesn’t care about what all the rich guys want. They could influence him to (at least) slow down his attempt to turn the USA into a province of China.*
It may not be much of a hope but it may be all we have.

*Once Trump goes the full ‘big event that just happened requires me to declare martial law and myself as King’ route, it probably WILL be too late for even the big money boys to change anything.
Or pardoned.
ShitGibbon will be prevailed upon to declare that Ell’no was acting on his behalf and thus is under the umbrella of executive immunity.
Which would go to SCOTUS then who the fuck knows.
They may hate Elon.
Hate Elon all they want. He has all their personal data, financial information, and in some cases; incriminating information. And a large personal cult of devolved sapiens eager to bear his children do his bidding.
I hate regulation as much as the next guy (I have to deal with a lot of federal regulation), but I’ve spent a career learning why policies, state laws and federal regs exist. Also that individuals, groups and companies will still try to exploit and bend the best written of those. If they didn’t exist, anarchy would prevail.
Not quite anarchy, per se, but America will run amusk as Ell’no continues his desperate search for the way into galt’s gulch.
This quote is pure genius, and made me laugh out loud. Even though I want to weep for the USA.
I’ve said before, but Elon is your problem now. South Africa does not want him back.
ISWYDT
He can be deported to Canada though, he has citizenship there (through his mom).
Hot techbrotato.
Alright, Canada, let’s make a deal - you take Elmo, and we’ll take Nickelback off your hands in exchange.
Stephen Fry explains why Elon Musk is not a Nazi:
(Video is less than 10 seconds. Don’t fear the click.)
It’s like, how can you somehow love Stephen Fry even more.
Nope - you also have to get Jordan Peterson, Danielle Smith, Pierre Pollievre and Brad Marchand, or it’s nowhere near a - ha! fair trade. I realise the last one’s already in Boston, but he may try to retire back up north…
Any chance you could throw in David Cronenberg???
Yup. As the saying goes, regulations are written in blood.
I’m not recalling anything in the SCOTUS immunity decision that would mean that someone acting on Trump’s instructions would be similarly immune, or that there was an “umbrella”…? (Not being snarky–I really don’t think they said anything like that, but I might have missed something.)

The SCOTUS ruling applied specifically to the POTUS immunity.
