I’ll just note that anyone with a margin account can just create cash out of thin air.
But really, any sufficiently large organization is going to be operating on a system of reconciliation. You target an operating cost, and then adjust budget/prices/tax rates/etc. in the next quarter to account for overages and underages across all the arms and tendrils of the group, as the numbers get reported up. If the whole group accidentally sent out a few more dollars than it had, it just runs on a deficit that month and makes up for it in the next.
It’s far worse than that - they’ve been saying mean things about him online DESPITE the fact that his mommy said to stop it and that he’s a very good boy.
He IS personally responsible for putting a lot of people out of work and for killing cancer research. Those two accomplishments alone will almost certainly result in deaths for which Elon can proudly take credit.
(He is certainly a whiny little bitch, isn’t he? No wonder he and Donald “clicked.”)
OMG. (my bolding)
Yeah. And as @Buck_Godot posted, entitled assholes have trouble “governing” other entitled assholes.
When you have a certain amount of money apparently it’s really easy to convince yourself that you’re So Superior that governing will require no common sense at all, because why would you want something Common!
This has been addressed by others while I was away, but for my 2 cents …
The current chaos might end up as a path to great power for the top 0.01% at most. Might. But they now / still have some reason to have some hope.
It’s the folks between the ~90th percentile and 99.99th percentile who are reflexive “Anyone (R)” voters who are now (slowly) recognizing that their policy should have been “Anyone not an obviously economically illiterate fascist vandal (R)”
Those folks are the ones who’ll reap an economic whirlwind against their businesses, portfolios, and entrenched class interests. Many are in denial. Events will wake them.
There is a page called dogequest that is doxxing a lot of people connected with the DN (Department of Nihilism). Because of the questionable nature of its content, I discourage anyone from linking directly to it. To open the page insert a period ahead of the last two letters in the name bolded above and add “https://” before it.
I agree with this. The .1% (or what have you) relies on the rest of the 10% to be their lieutenants. Those people are very concerned right now. And if you destroy their wealth they aren’t going to be on your team.
And that ~10% of the US headcount would have been more than enough to swing the win to Harris if they’d simply paid attention to something other than Faux & the WSJ.
