Now that is classy: RO [H.S. girls basketball blowout]

You know, I never said one disparaging word about you. I asked a question and made a comment about the OP, and you felt the need comment on my stupidity, when I didn’t even in fact disagree with you. I implied disagreement at best, and you resorted to a personal attack.

Perhaps I am stupid, though honestly, based on the behavior of others, I’m at least at the high end of stupid.

You, however, are just a garden variety asshole.

I prefer stupid. Possibly that makes me even stupider. I still prefer it.

I honestly believed you were sarcastically pulling my chain. I am completely shocked that this concept would cause anyone trouble, but apparently it does. I apologize for calling you stupid.

To explain it seriously, in the case of the OP, the winning team scored more points than the losing team with the first basket. They would have felt confident that they would end the game with more points than the other team when it was 30 - nothing. There would have been no doubt about it when it was 50 - nothing.

Thus, in fact, they would have already achieved the goal of winning.

Boyo, read back through the thread. The strategy behind protecting a heavy lead has been explained at least a couple times (page 4-ish, IIRC).
