Now that Musk bought Twitter -- Breaking News only

Same.

Working just fine for me (3:46pm, PDT)

Me too, but maybe the difference is mobile v desktop?

IIRC didn’t Twitter announce that they’re going to start requiring you to be logged in in order to view tweets? Could that be the problem?

Not working for me not logged-in.

Twitter started requiring log-in to view tweets a couple of weeks ago. Then about a week later, Twitter semi-worked without log-in - could view tweets from accounts, but only by going to account through a tweet, and only a few tweets from an account were displayed. That lasted about a week. Since the last day or so, one can view Twitter accounts without log-in, but no tweets from those accounts will be displayed.

Situation is constantly changing.

Nitter.net (a Twitter repeater) now works again. http://nitter.net/scalzi for example gets Scalzi’s tweets

Thanks, it is. I was looking at nitter.it

This sounds a bit moribund:

Together with one instance of “I got that reference!”. The reference in question was to Wizard of Oz, which was of course familiar to someone from the WWII era.

Goodbye, Twitter?

Now that’ll make searching easy.

Probably no worse than “the who”.

So instead of “tweeting”, people will “X it”?

Trademarking a letter doesn’t sound like it’s gonna be very easy to me. There’s a reason there aren’t any big corporations named “M” or “H”.

Microsoft has a trademark for “Series X”
A company called “ETS” has a trademark on X in certain contexts.
Hmm.

To say nothing of the X-Men, Weapon X, Racer X, the Monster From Planet X, X: The Man With X-Ray Eyes, the X Games, and so forth.

c’mon guys/gals … lets not pretend elmo has really thought this trough …

He is slowly becoming the V. Putin of Social Media Comps.

Now that is a great typo. Thank you!

Elon’s Special Media Operation is going as well as Vladimir Vladimirovich’s is. I wonder who plays the role of Prigo in Muskland? Is there a mutiny in the offing?

X Japan is the trademarked name of a Japanese band.

X videos is, well, you know …

X itself is a well-known punk band.

Not sure this is going to work all that well.
