Yes. He was using us to promote his own website without acknowledging that it was his own website. Once we discerned the pattern, we asked him about it, and he didn’t respond.
That’s the part that surprised me, too - he’s on a new show?!? Not that I ever got much of a gay vibe from him - it just isn’t too surprising.
All he did was link to jpg photos, he never linked to anything that could possibly make him money.
Sorry, a correction to what twickster says here: we gave Markxxx a warning for linking to his Family Circus cartoon (dozens of times, if not hundreds) because that was really excessive self promotion. But he wasn’t banned for that. He was banned because after we warned him, he created a sock account. That’s why he was banned.
Since this is Cafe Society, I feel I can safely say his Family Circus cartoons weren’t even funny.

That’s how I feel about that xkcd webcomic or whatever it is. Every other thread gets an “obligatory xkcd link!” and I don’t think I’ve ever found one of them amusing.

Sampiro, Ricky Martin had long term relationships (years) with at least one woman (that I remember).
Personally, I prefer to believe that Ricky is not black or white, but gray when it comes to such preferences. I can believe he got tired of women, and found a smart, good looking boyfriend who stole his heart.
I can believe (from what passes for his autobiography) he got tired of one-night stands and quickies with random guys; he did say he’d had a deep relationship at one point after he found a smart, good looking girlfriend who stole his heart.
Has Kevin Spacey been mentioned yet? It’s my understanding that he’s one of those people who is “openly” gay to those who know him, but not publicly so.
(But don’t hold me to that, as I have no cite. Which is why I ask.)
