I think Spacey’s probably bi. I’ve read accounts of women who’ve slept with him in addition to all the weird “getting his phone stolen walking his dog at 2am through a known gay cruising area” stories. I seem to remember hearing that he & Emily Blunt had a thing once? Though if you’ve ever read about his childhood, it was fucking bizarre so who knows what’s really going on in his head.
His first wife made a famously strange statement about him- I can’t remember the exact phrasing but it was about his childhood desire to be a monk and how he almost made it (i.e. apparently not that interested in sex). Nicole Kidman doesn’t seem to have pleasant things to say about him either and then there’s the odd miscarriage timing (they announce their separation and then she learns she’s pregnant and miscarries, implying it wasn’t his [the long period of time when they didn’t have kids even though both are apparently fertile and the fact that she became pregnant during a separation]). Katie Holmes began with the jumping on Oprah incident and then the various oddities thereafter. Like Michael Jackson his household seems to be all stocked up with weird.

The scuttlebutt is that they were lovers many years ago but haven’t been romantically involved for decades. They still live and work together and are each other’s lifemates but it’s a sort of very open marriage. Both have had significant others who they’re fairly public with but at the end of the day and of the relationship they’re going to continue living with each other. (Gore Vidal claims that he and Howard Austen, his partner of 50 years, had a similar relationship: long term significant others who turned outward for sex and inward for everything else.)

Yeah, they’ve been high profile in recent years. Personally I discount them as they’re mainly based on his sharing a bed with a roommate for 4 years as a young bachelor (which wasn’t uncommon in the 19th century) and on his sharing a bed with his bodyguard whenever Mrs. Lincoln was away (which when you consider what happened when he didn’t have a bodyguard near him takes on new meaning). He very well could have been but if he was gayer than Liberace on laughing gas there’s no real way to prove it.

Re Ryan Seacrest… Howard Stern had some bimbo on recently that ‘dated’ him for months and said they would go out in public together but never had any sexual contact. Not that I believe all of what some airhead says, I just found it interesting how clueless she seemed to be about it, like she couldn’t think of any reason in the world why he wanted to take her out around town but didn’t want to touch her.
