Green Lantern is the superhero that just screams “CGI movie”.
I’d love to see a LIVE ACTION Starcraft movie.
Not something like the all CGI Final Fantasy movie, but have the marines be real, and maybe some of the Protoss…but CGI Zerg and probably most of the other Protoss.
Little Fuzzy. Live-action humans, CGI Fuzzies. They’d make a mint just selling the stuffed toy tie-ins.
Haloooooooooooooooooo
The Road Warrior.
A good movie but the stunt work in the action scenes could benefit greatly with some CGI help. Cars manuvering around a speeding semi should feel like the FX in The Fast & The Furious. The Road Warrior final chase felt like they were going 30 mph.
I came to say Ringworld as well. I spent half the time with those books with my eyes closed trying to visually imagine the world. I still daydream about it. I wouldn’t mind changing the plot and characterizations up a bit either. And, please god, no risathra.
I’d love to see “The Forge of God” and, even more, “Anvil of Stars”. Probably wouldn’t make a great movie plot-wise, but we are talking special effects here.
Anything with a Bolo in it.
Rendezvous with Rama
This.
I know, man. Firestorm was a pretty good movie, but then they just had to go and ruin it with a title change.
I’d love to see A Fire Upon The Deep, but I fear it would have to by waaay better than the CGI currently available. Getting the look and feel of the Skroderiders wrong, or worse, the look of the Tines wrong, would be death.
I’d even settle for a miniseries showing A Deepness In The Sky chronologically first, but I didn’t like that one as much. (And I don’t see how the spiders would get resolved either).
