I listen to NOR because they are not as partisan as other outlets but I swear, they need better journalists who can push back against some of this stuff.
You can reasonably criticize protests that occur before Trump has done anything in office as a protest of the election results.
You can’t reasonably criticize someone for protests against specific actions taken by the administration by pointing to the election unless you think that we elected a king in 2016.
You can’t let a guest pretend that the protests had no effect when the protests resulted in revisions to the executive order that frankly would have been there to begin with if they had bothered to run it by people who have been doing this sort of shit for decades as career bureaucrats.
You can’t let a guest pretend there isn’t amoral element to closing off immigration to refugees from a war torn country. Especially when we brought the goddam war to the country the refugee is coming from.
The fact that Trump ran on a muslim ban doesn’t mean you can’t protest it any more than Obama running on universal healthcare means that you can’t protest universal healthcare.
I feel like one of the problems in politics today is the disgraceful state of journalism today. It really seems like yellow journalism.
