It’s still useful! It’s helping educate the world.
CNN reporting evacuation taking place, due to problems with the reactors at the other power plant. It just never ends.
At least the heavy snows should help people there with no water.
Sorry for the double post. Software error.
Why has the US delivered two firetrucks and sending more to Japan(per MSNBC).
To show the world how safe nuclear power is?
Why don’t you cretins get all fired up about something that actually kills lots of people in an ongoing, regular basis? You know - an industry that supports your so-called “safe” coal generators? Hundreds of miners are killed the world over every year. Even if thousands die in this calamity, the nuclear power industry will still have a better cumulative safety record since inception by several orders of magnitude.
Idiots. :smack:
One [del]neuron[/del] neutron at a time.
The US is now advising US personnel to leave the area of the nuclear plants. Like any US citizen is within a hundred miles still.
And its taking more than it thought.
If only they were more positive. Always got to be in the center of things, but if it gets the least bit unstable, bing they split!
US officially announced that #4 has probably burned dry, and radiation levels are extremely high, maybe too high to do anything about it. They won’t say it, but this means an uncontrollable nuclear fire. The level of radiation is so high it will kill anyone, even in a suit, who gets within 100 yards of the fire.
You can’t even fly a helicopter over it right now.
I am not making this up.
You sir, are an imbecile of the first order. You are the nadir of reasonableness. Who the fuck are you to go around telling people what they may and may not be outraged at, and what they are and are not outraged at?
You may love the lies and danger of the nuclear industry, but the US public is skeptical of it to such a degree that it is dead in the US. As it shall remain. We are tired of all the lies you and your fellow travelers tell about the nuclear industry.
While there may be people who love the coal industry, I tend to dislike it because it is filled with as many liars as the pro-nuclear people.
My god the level of stupid in this thread is… radioactive!
No no no! nuclear power safe. US government is fear mongering! Nothing is wrong. Relax.
Still undecided. Keep making dip-shit arguments on either side though…fascinating read.
Many thanks.
Undecided that there is radioactivity being released?
Undecided as to whether he/she wants to live near one. I live near a couple large wind farms and a couple of natural gas plants. I would consider it a huge hit to my home value to live within 100 miles of a nuclear plant. The Rancho Seco plant, closer to me than 100 miles, was closed down before I moved nearby. Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station - Wikipedia
I donate money every year to a local charity that works towards increasing traffic safety on our roads and highways (about 35,000 US Americans died on the roads in 2009). I worry a lot more about dying in my car than I do about dying from radiation poisoning.
So, the nuclear power industry has killed more people than the coal industry? Is that what he is lying about?
Wrong topic. This is the OMG IT’S GODZILLA topic
No, you lackluster reader. Pay attention. He is generally stupid and a fucktard. Are you his identical twin? Nuclear power proponents lie daily about it’s safety. Bullshit like “a partial meltdown isn’t a meltdown”, that “there is nothing to be alarmed about” that “evacuation is just a precaution” that there is no practical alternative to nuclear reactors, etc. Nuclear power in the US has not killed more than Karen Silkwood, but Chernobyl sure has and the reactors in Japan will kill lots of people, we just don’t know how many yet. They will kill plant workers and they will kill locals in years to come. Maybe the plant workers signed up for it, but the public didn’t. The public did not sign up for the clean up costs, getting kicked out of their homes, etc.
But you guys just love shoving this all down their throats because you are of the opinion, the fucking opinion, that nuclear power is good policy. The warm glow of your opinion will keep all those displaced Japanese warm tonight. That and the fucking reactor fuel rods.
