Land? Hell, now that the rain is washing the fall out into the water supply, land is the least of their worries.
You can ship food in, but water is another story.

Look pal, you can’t make a ridiculously expensive, dangerous, and frightening energy omelette without cracking a few eggs. Nuke is the Fuuuuuuuuutuuuuure!
No wonder the fight against ignorance is taking longer than originally thought…

We have three posters wallowing in it. It’d be amusing, if it weren’t so sad.
Which explains why so many people are investing so heavily in wind right now.
So it doesn’t take billions of dollars in taxpayer money loan guarantees to build a nuclear plant that will take on average 13 years to complete if ever and when it screws up it’s too radioactive and too hot and too toxic and too dangerous for humans to repair it except for 24 hour/day 40 or 50 minute shifts that takes weeks and weeks and too radioactive and too dangerous for robots to do anything and too radioactive for any useful monitors to work and it keeps building up hydrogen gas and exploding on you when it’s supposedly not supposed to being doing anything at all because it was shut off, right? and it’s taking more billions of dollars to render safe enough just to spend more billions tearing it down because it was out-dated junk to start with by the builder’s and operators’ and nuke-nutters’ own admissions?
The amount of money it will take (right now, not if it gets worse) to fix this nuclear disaster, (and I’m not including the money spent on the displaced people, the polluted land, the loss of revenue), just the amount of money spent to clean up the disaster site, will no doubt be more than if you put solar panels on a million Japanese rooftops. With batteries, and inverters and the whole bit, to make a home self contained for power. (the Japanese use a lot less power than Americans)
That is just the cleanup cost.
You take the loss from losing at least 6 reactors, you could put solar on every house in Japan.
Will the pron nukers like them facts?
Not one bit.
Just like how Americans deny the reality of wind power there. The nukers want 16 billion in guaranteed loans from the US Federals, for a nuke plant. One plant.
They ignore the reality, that such an amount of cash is enough to build the infrastructure to use the wind power from North Dakota, which is more than enough to run the entire country off windmills.
It’s fucking madness.
Facts? What facts?
Just a bunch of made up bullshit by a known liar.
I thought we couldn’t do personal insults? Man these fucking rules are complicated.
The fucking madness is you stupidly believing that you can put self sustaining solar on every house in Japan. Show your math or withdraw it you fucking fringe.
127 million people live in Japan. Assume that there are 30 million homes. Assume further that a solar array costs 10 thousand dollars. You really think the cleanup is going to cost 300 billion dollars? Never mind that it is way unlikely that you can generate the electricity they need from solar. Never mind that it fucking snows in Japan and people falling off their roofs would kill more people than this nuclear accident. Never mind that Japan has a high population density, and the many people living in muti-unit homes or high rises so the square footage of the roof couldn’t possibly generate enough power. Never mind that you’re a complete fucking moron.
I can say fuck right? Just not “fuck you and the radioactive lizard you rode in on”?
I hate fucking rules. Either you can write what you want, or it’s bullshit. People gaming the system, hiding behind a technicality. Wiat, saying that might be against a rule.
Fuck that.
Take that up at ATMB.
Say it as fyook.
You can say “fuck” all you want in the Pit. You can say “fuck” outside the Pit too. Don’t put it in a thread title though, or someone will faint.
Saying “fuck” purely for the sake of saying “fuck” is kinda lame.
You can also insult people in the Pit. Insulting people purely for the sake of insulting them is totally gay, but you’ll see it a lot. Nukies excel at attacking the person, not the argument.
I’ve noticed that the less science somebody knows, the more they try and make it personal. The more bias they have, the less they quote sources, and the more they try to be insulting, the gayer they are.
Dude, I was kidding about the “gay” thing. Don’t say stuff is gay, unless it actually does involve homo-fun.
I knew you were kidding. I was throwing it back at ya.
The rules are real simple. That you fail to understand them, as simple as they are, just confirms that complex issues like how electricity is generated is far beyond your capabilities.
See FX, this is an example of a *good *insult. Well, it wasn’t that great, but you get the idea.
And if they have no knowledge of the science at hand, they make stuff up, like pictures of bodies (victims of radiation poisoning) being leaked.
