A slow attack is still a sailor joke, but it refers to former ballistic missile subs either 640 or trident class which have been modified and no longer carry ballistic missiles due to start treaty restrictions. 640s now are primarily platforms for transporting special teams and some of the tridents are being modified as tomahawk missile platforms. They are being referred to as slow attack simply because of the top speeds they can achieve.

As have just gotten out of the Navy after being in for eight years I would need proof of this. As being nude while manning an anti-aircraft gun would be a bad idea for many reasons.
Any ways, to answer the OPs original question: I have slept nude in my berthing before. But, its not really a good idea as if there is a General Quarters or someone pulls you out of your rack for something then, oops, you are naked. But, there is also a massive lack of privacy which in general prevents even the most secure in their sexual affiliation walk around in the buff. I slept in a “berthing” of 265 people. This is a giant room with racks three high and about 30" between rows. Your rack has curtains to pull shut and that’s all the privacy you have. Which, in the event of a GQ or drill or someone needs you ASAP can be violated at any time.
So, needless to say, the lack of privacy pretty much insures that very few, infrequently, will sleep in the buff.
But it’s much worse for that gun to go unmanned during an emergency!
