Hubby got me a kick-ass treadmill for Xmas. I know, I know, he’s very thoughtful. Anyway, when I first started walking on it, I was plagued by painful shin splints. Stretched them, iced them, switched shoes to a really nice, super cushy pair of running shoes. No more shin splints and my feet feel great.
However, now everytime I jog, once I get past the 2 mile mark my feet get that tingly feeling in them, like you get when your foot “falls asleep.” More often it’s the left foot which gets it worse, to the point where I have to slow down to a walk or stop because it’s such a disturbing feeling.
Anyone have this happen to them and more importantly, anyone know how to stop this from happening? Is it the shoes? Socks? (I’ve tried lacing the shoes less tightly; no help.) Or is this related to the treadmill itself (static electricity or something like that) that I won’t be able to get rid of?
