Nun Habits

I want to find out more about nun’s habits. I especially am interested in details of pre-vatican II habits. Anyone know of any good books?

A copy of this book may be useful if you can track one down.

This one too.

Sometimes they can become addicted to holy water. Its quite a journey to kick that habit, let me tell you.

And personally, I consider celibacy to be a bad habit.
Oh. those habits…

Thank you, those look very helpful. The most I was able to find online was a place that sells nun dolls dressed in the habit of various orders. Some of the websites of the various orders had pictures, but I was not finding even a list of orders. Especially because I am interested in the habit of sisters as well as nuns, and so many religious orders ditched their habit after Vatican II.

…I’m just thinking of all the categories of sins changing the clothing on a NunBarbie would fall under… :dubious:

CynicalGabe. While I enjoy a humorous post in GQ as much as the next person, I’m going to politely ask you, yet again, to try your best to restrain yourself from overdoing it.

If you wish to contribute to GQ in a worthwhile way, we’d love to have your posts here. But, if you’re going to continue to just drop by and make funnies, then take it over to MPSIMS or IMHO.

This really is getting tiring. Take this mild warning seriously.

You are right. I apologize.

A new dry cleaner opened in a town, and, being new, he didn’t get much business at first. In desperation, the dry cleaner decided to go door-to-door, picking up potential customers’ clothes for them. On the first day of making rounds, he drove by the local convent. He asked the Reverend Mother, “Pardon me, do you have any dirty habits?”

Thank you, thank you. I’ll be here all week.
