And if it’s good to eat, in addition to some cash, you get some food on the table…
If I lived there, I’d be out hunting them, if for no other reason than scouting for other hunting. They might be breeding faster than they can be controlled, but I’d be in on the cash & meat.
$5 a tail? Have they remembered to tax the nutria breeders?

I’m working on a breeding program to develop mutant nutria with seven tails each.
Considering your user name and the region where nutria are usually found, I’m not surpised you posted.

I was going to say that I live in completely the wrong part of the world to be able to enjoy these tasty vermin. then I discovered that they’re called Coypu here - we have naturalised populations of them in some parts - mostly the Norfolk Broads. I’m not sure whether we’re allowed to hunt them though.
