Nuun is giving me cancer?

Hey All,

My wife pointed me to this article. Best and Worst Electrolyte Drinks for 2023 | TheHealthBeat
I did a search that brought up a 2006 thread where it looked like the tone was that those that purported that Nuun was giving me cancer rhetoric was scaremongering. But the article didn’t actually say, nothing to worry about.

So is my Nuun electrolyte replacement tab giving me cancer through benzene?

Thanks.

Medical advice is best suited to IMHO.

If there was evidence an energy drink causes cancer, trial lawyers would be chomping at the bit.

That’s a really crap article with obvious stupid errors. As to the benzene thing, wikipedia says this:

The article is based on a flawed premise, that drinking electrolytes is important for the mineral content of your overall diet (electrolyte drinks are good for quick replacement):

For the purpose of getting enough minerals in your overall diet the mineral content of ordinary water is generally unimportant. Foodstuffs contain so much more. For instance you’d have to drink a litre of Perriere to get the same magnesium you get from a large slice of toast.

Thank You!

The article sounded scare monger to me, but I had no proof.

Thank you!
