Taylor Swift is a genuine billionaire. She’s got way more money than Trump.
So does Rhianna.
And probably Beyonce.
And Taylor has a real career, Donald just lost his and is reduced to trying to selll tennis shoes to people who boo him.
Hmm, may be fun to start a thread on all the ways Taylor is better than Donald.
I think the clue to how much real wealth Trump has was given away when he started having to run a game show for a living. The rest has gone. So when the fine is actually being collected, the drama will really start.
I guess all those venues and and cities that hosted Trump campaign events and got stiffed ae going to have to wait a little longer to collect.
The 12th of Never?
I see both sides of this. His narcissism and ego are the driving force in what Trump does. Now he claims he’s a ‘star’ like he’s Bogart or something.
They did put a star on the Hollywood walk of fame for some unfathomable reason. Don’t know if it’s still there, it got defaced a LOT.
I blame the whole mess on NBC canceling his stupid show.
It would have to be an omnibus thread in the BBQ forum
My understanding is that it’s not like an award or anything, you pretty much just have to pay for it.
I suspect they are still waiting for payment, because he’s a ‘star’.
But thanks for the info.
More or less anyone who has been on tv or film that was reasonably successful can get a star for a $75k fee if someone nominates them. A private committee gets to decide. The whole thing is bullshit but at the time he was selected he had the beauty pageants and the reality shows and it was far from controversial and there were many less deserving people on there.
Yeah, my bad, should have posted a silly comment like this in the Schadenfreude thread, not an appropriate hijack here.
We have plenty to digest in a serious analysis of how Trump is in deep shit financially.
Found a helpful video posted by the Wall Street Journal, interviewing a senior NY corporate lawyer, analysing the decision:
Did Trump’s cheque clear?
I’m pretty sure my net worth exceeds Trump’s. Yours probably does too. Positive numbers are generally agreed to be larger than negative ones.
Actually, many Walk of Fame stars are bought by fan groups via donations.
They all are, ostensibly.
Apparently, the truth social network is valued at 10 billion, and he’s got about 60 odd percentage ownership in it, and thus, by mistake, he might have actually become rich in recent times, after a history of failed businesses, overextended loans and fraud.
I hate to think that he’s actually successfully made money in recent times, via his hate speech, and overvaluing of US tech stocks, I mean microblogging can’t be worth that much, or is it the gateway into the moronsphere of his supporters?
Apologies for being That Poster, but would you please point me to where I might read about this?
Apparently so, Trump’s stake in Truth Social is worth about $4 billion.

Assuming he can find a buyer for some of his stake, he’s good to go. And that further assumes there’s no lien
