Euphonious_Polemic:
Interestingly, in In 2007, Drinks Americas (the manufacturer) signed a deal to export 50,000 cases of Trump Vodka annually to Russia.
Cuz if there is one thing Russia lacks and needs to import it is vodka.
Atamasama:
I wonder if he just won’t appeal if he can’t pay the bond and then will make up some excuse about how he wanted to appeal but the crooked left wing courts in New York wouldn’t let him, and when they start taking his stuff away, it’s theft the likes of which the world has never seen.
That seems to jibe with his character.
With notes of flop sweat.
I misread this as “bonkers are about the money first”, but it works that way, too.

I’m sure Trump will accept the actions of the court with a steely, dignified resignation that befits a former head of state.

Sounds like Trump has another crack lawyer.
You owe me a new keyboard.
That sounds like, what do they call that, unlawful flight?

They did ask nicely for a lawful flight.
Interesting piece this morning at Daily Kos:
[Trump’s Love of Money Will be the GOP’s Downfall [Updated]]
, and he’s been barred from getting loans from most banks.
Trump is facing heavy criminal lawyers, and he can’t repeat his prior habit of stiffing his lawyers because criminal lawyers are making him pay up front, and he needs them if he wants to stay out of jail. He’s paid out over $50 million in legal fees so far.
BUT . . . most of the money to pay those lawyers didn’t come from his own pockets, but from his followers. His followers are starting to show signs of donor fatigue, so . . .
He’s trying to put his daughter-in-law in charge of the RNC so they will pay his legal bills.
The RNC isn’t entirely pleased with the notion:
…
while Trump’s base may not be able or willing to shell out the huge amount of cash he needs, they will also not tolerate any perceived disloyalty by Republicans either.
In short, Trump’s love of money will be the root, not only of his downfall, but of the GOP’s as well.
…
I saw this blog post by Mary Trump , who knows her uncle very well):
Knowing Donald as I do, here’s why I know this statement [by AG Letitia James that she will ask the judge to seize Trump’s assets] will make push him closer to the edge:
First, James implies that there’s a possibility Donald does not have enough cash to satisfy the judgment; that alone is enough to enrage him. Readers of The Good in Us know that Donald is obsessed with his net worth and he goes to great lengths to convince people he is enormously wealthy. It’s a significant part of his identity.
The urgency with which he clings to the the false idea that he is richer, more successful, and more talented than he is serves to hide the truth – not just from us, but from himself – that he is, quite simply, a loser.
Question: presumably financial monitor, former federal judge Barbara Jones, has a pretty clear idea whether or not Trump has the 400+ Million needed to appeal. Do you think Judge Engoron may already with some precision know just how overleveraged/encumbered all of Trump’s properties are and whether he’s in any position to be able to raise the money for the appeal?
Helping Hand Acceptance Corporation? Or maybe those Rodriguez brothers.

I’d change that to - Smells like Trump has another crack lawyer.
While she may know all about the financial situtation of the Trump Orginazation business, Donald may have his own personal stash of cash in a getaway bag.
I’d be suprised if he didn’t have the profits he skimmed stashed away. He could then transfer these to a third party to make it look like a loan. Criminal? Why of course!
Whack-a-Mole:
Trump’s only chance, I think, is he really is actually super wealthy and has loads of cash (unlikely) or a true believer billionaire comes to his rescue. Someone with the cash and willingness to lose that cash to support Trump to the tune of a half billion dollars. My guess is billionaires tend to like their money more than their ideals but who knows?
I don’t think anyone supported Trump because of their “Ideals.”

I understand that reference!
But I don’t see him showing enough foresight, forward thinking, or just plain business sense to have made plans such as these.
It’s not about business sense, it’s what criminals do. True he isn’t a good business man and many of his ventures have “so called” failed. However, they were frauds from the start. If Donald has proven anything, it is that everything he does has an element of crime and shuffling of money around.
I say he has a billion stashed away and can convince some shady bank or fellow billionaire to let him pay them on the side for bond money.
Are you listening Putin?
I’m also hoping that the FBI is watching for this and has a sealed warrent to monitor his communications.
