Anyone know? Dallas BBQ, Teriyaki Boy, Urinetown (The Musical), etc. are all closed down. Is this another corporation buying space, or is it something else?
Skyscraper.

Yep, the Dursts—not content with just murdering people—are demolishing one of the last vestiges of the old Times Square neighborhood . . . Farewell, Peep-World! Goodbye, weird little carriage house!
I don’t know if it’s the same one, but I am happy to report that there is an establishment known as Peep World alive and well on 8th Avenue.
I didn’t notice all the closings, but I work within spitting distance of that block. Too bad I’m reading this at my desk at lunch. I’ll have to check it out tomorrow.
Thanks. I actually asked around and found out that Bank of America will be a major tenant in that building.
One of the buildings that will be demolished is the one-story faux carriage house just East of the new Conde Nast building. It’s actually from the 1930s, but looks so 1860s, has always been a little faded gem. Will hate to see it go.
