It appears Zohran actually did that thing that progressives in Democratic primaries always say they’ll do; make up for the loss of moderate votes by drawing formerly disengaged people into the electorate and increasing voter turnout. He smashed the previous record for votes received in a Democratic primary, 465K to 326K (De Blasio '17)…but Cuomo also got 389K. Hope he can keep it up in the general.

Yeah. I get they see little chance there but sometimes lightning strikes. You’d think the republicans would try if only to make a show of it and get some press attention that could help in other races (e.g. “See the shit show in NY! That’s what you’ll get if you don’t vote for Republican-X!” New York is the biggest US city…it looms large in politics even if you are nowhere near it.
