NYPD police car for sale on eBay

That can’t be a good idea.

Oh yeah. Note that in the last couple of photos there are additional decals along the bottom edge of the bumper and on the hood (notably, “Fuck me, I’m famous”) that don’t appear in the first photos. The shield logo also doesn’t appear to be the same (compare to the logo on this official collector’s coffee mug).

Sounds like BS to me.

From what I read, it’s not a real NYPD Squad Car & they never actually say it is.
It’s a concept car from a NY Auto Show.

little*bit, it’s not the same car that’s up for auction.

Here is a picture of the Crown Victoria police interceptor car shown at the 2002 NY International Aito Show.

Now compare that to the photos on the eBay page. The car is supposedly with all original police decals etc., but two of the pictures clearly show some “extras.” The car is also supposed to be in perfect condition, but the third photo clearly shows scrapes on the front bumper.

Anyways, why would a concept car at an auto show have a precinct designation and fleet number on it?

I still say the auction is bogus.

I just took a closer look at the Modern Racer article in the link I gave in my last post, and it just dawned on me that the eBay seller copied whole chunks for his vehicle description.

If he could copy the text, why not actually include a genuine photo of the vehice allegedly up for sale?

Personally, I’m waiting for a genuine Reno police officer’s bicycle to show up.

Damn, I wanted a Bluesmobile, too.
