Obama announcing death of Osama bin Laden [edited title]

Geraldo did it too on Fox. It’s just a slip of the tongue (or keypad).

Fox’s petulant spelling of Bin Laden’s first name as “Usama” is more telling.

I expect that people will learn their names, but maybe not for a few decades.

OMG I am so sorry! I surely did not mean to leave the smiley in that quote box! Now I am all: :o

Isn’t that an accepted alternate spelling? It’s not as if it exactly transliterates between Arabic and English letters. Sort of like Cecil’s column on the spelling of Khadafy.

Where? I’ve been looking for this specifically and can’t find it.

EDIT: Nevermind, found it.

Of course you did sir. Very funny. Now come with us please, we just have a few questions. May want to tell your wife to not wait up.

That’s what I heard as well.
ETA: Missed the edit

Not that it matters, but I did not re-iterate your point.

It was carried out by JSOC, which consists of both Delta Force and Navy SEALs. I, too, heard Navy SEALs, but I suppose it’s possible it was a joint effort and both were involved.

We’ll probably never know who was on the team that pulled the trigger, but if we did, man, those guys would get so much pussy.

CNN International is quoting a senior defense department official who said that the Seals are involved. Which does not, of course, mean that Delta Force wasn’t.

Bury the corpse promptly & let Allah sort it out?

Isn’t *that *some good news to wake up to.

Well done, America. That was old school.

Well, as much as I hoped Tom Clancy’s CIA precision, surgical strikes, were employed rather this 10 nyears of alternate reality. Rainbow Six did this.

Don’t click if you don’t want to get choked up. Excuse me while I clear the lump from my throat.

And Pope Paul II is beatified!

I’d do 'em.

No worries, rigs. I wasn’t 100% sure I’d heard right either.

That is an awesome photo.

Shit - I’d think about it and I’m a straight dude.

Wow. I clicked expecting something else. That’s relatively understated, and I liked it.

A helicopter crashed in the vicinity. Anybody know what that’s about?
