Obama campaign finally fights back--What do you think?

I liked the 1982 ad. I’m hoping the campaign knows exactly when to use it. Obviously, this ad should not be aired on 60 minutes or the network evening news shows which have an older audience.

He’s got a new (and IMO best of all) ad starting today Called “It’s Over”:

Ed

#1 - He’s speaking on it, not typing.
#2 - I have heard from other sources that his family helps him when he does use the computer because of his disability.

Yeah, I think that is the best of the three. Both factual and damning.

I may be the only one who liked that 1982 ad. I have been eager for Obama to truly fight back. I wanted to see some genuine attacks, and I feel that ad did it. Givin’ 'em some of their own medicine, in other words. But several people have made good points as to why the other ad was better. I think this third ad that suranyi linked to is the best of both worlds. I don’t think it is stretching the truth, but it is certainly something that people can understand, ie, McCain’s in the pocket of the lobbyists and his talk of change is bs.

As for the “can’t use a key board because of being a POW” I think if it were to blow up, it would be easy to show people with much more severe difficulties who have overcome them to work in the computer field, or at least make use of email. They have set ups for blind people, for god’s sake.

I didn’t mean it in a moral sense - I meant it in terms of whether it will be effective or blow back in his face.

And the ‘Worst ever’ remark is humor. Admittedly, the phrase is getting tired, and I’ll probably have to retire it. It’s a play on Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons. It’s just a humorous way of saying that it’s a crappy ad in terms of achieving anything positive for Obama.

Well, there’s your problem. We so rarely see humor from conservatives that when it is offered, it confuses us. Remember The 1/2 Hour News Hour on Fox News?

New Obama ad, just released today. Called “His Administration”:

Ed

It’s about time Obama started fighting fire with fire. I also like that he’s launching his own attacks and not just continuing to respond to mud McCain has slung, whicih is part of the Republican plan to keep Obama constantly on the defensive. (It’s also good the media is waking up and calling McCain and his pick on their lies.)

Didn’t McCain only just recently start saying he didn’t type because of his war injury, rather than previous statements sayng it was because he typed laboriously slow and Cindy was faster? It might have been in this thread and I might be wrong about that but I’m sure I read that somewhere.

No. Stories about his war wounds making it hard to type have been around for a decade.

Here’s a new article by Jake Tapper of ABC news:
