Obama campaign: arrogant AND stupid!

Instapundit summarizes the “McCain is technologically out of touch” ad quite well, as always http://www.pajamasmedia.com/instapundit/archives2/024251.php:

This is the campaign that said HuffPost - Breaking News, U.S. and World News | HuffPost

If this is the rest of the campaign, McCain is a shoo-in!

And Obama said recently his experience running his campaign qualifies as executive experience!

They could have avoided the substantive errors in the ad if they had just used teh Google on the intartubes.

GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND, MORONS!

What a bunch of stupid, arrogant, lazy, fucks.

Don’t get me wrong. There’s still 8 weeks till the election and anything can happen. Maybe Hillary will replace Biden. I’m thinking, “This is TOO good to be real. Gaffe after gaffe after gaffe? It can’t last!”

But right now I’m just smiling and sitting back and enjoying the ride, watching the Dems’ own mouths being McCain’s best weapon.

[aside: What’s the problem with the Obama campaign? Is it because he’s never had to really fight for his previous offices? You’d almost think there’s actually a Rove mole in the campaign!]

What?

OBAMA IS TEH SUXXOR!!!

DUMMY DUMB DEMO-RATS!!!

HEHEHEHEH!!
I hope that helped.

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty tone deaf ad. But it’s just one ad. It’ll be forgotten next week.

Is this the Obama campaign in the universe behind your personal filter or something? Gaffe after gaffe after gaffe? What campaign are you watching?

Boy, you guys are so dumb, you don’t even know when you’ve been had! Pajamas Media? Yeah, right, like any self-respecting Doper would ever refer to those butt munchkins as worthy of serious, sober attention!

Man, he fooled you, big time and downtown. Good 'un!

Oh come off it. You know as well as I do that McCain is running a flawless campaign. If Obama keeps screwing up, he may as well give up before November.

Yes, McCain is running a flawless campaign. But Obama is running an *immaculate *campaign. Go now, brothers, and speak of The Obama.

As it is written, so shall it be done. <genuflects>

I think the ad was a pretty dumb move on the Obama campaign’s part. He’s already got the youth vote. He should not be alienating older voters.

I have to say I think Obama should apologize. I don’t think he did anything wrong, but an apology for any intended offense would take a lot of wind out of the good ship McCain’s sails and make McCain look like a bigger ass for the sex ed and pigstick commercials.

Good point. I remember well how Hillary Clinton just rolled over and played dead in the primaries.

Hell no. That’ll only tell the Republicans that crying “he’s being mean to poor little me” works, and that they can make him spend the next 50 days apologizing for every word out of his mouth whether or not he did anything wrong.

What, the Democrats aren’t going to be able to get out Word One for fear that the Republicans will say it’s a personal attack? Too bad for the folks who somehow expected B-man to be Jesus and Buddha rolled into one. He’s not. Live with it.

You think they actually expect an apology? They’re just doing it because they got (if you’ll forgive the slang) pwned on the pig lipstick and the sex ed ad. If he apologized now, now only would he reassert control of the narrative and completely retake the high ground, he’d make McCain look like a bigger ass over the sex ed ad and every other bit of misinformation he’s been spreading.

Well, if you follow the logic in this illogic as Obama pointed out on Craig Ferguson’s show the other night, Palin is the lipstick, not the pig. That seems to have escaped these mouth breathers.

Why should he apologize for something he didn’t do or say? Why should he let the Reps set the agenda? I think he’s playing it just right–pointing out the absurdity of it and then changing the subject.

This is old news. Since then Obama’s campaign has already rolled out at least three more attack ads.

Ed

I am posting in this high quality intelligent thread.

Thank god you’re here to raise the tone.

George Bush may speak to Jesus, but Barack Obama is Jesus

Which makes me wonder whose idea the Iraq war really was… :dubious:

Anyway, I’ve given up trying to predict how things are playing with the average American.

Let me just state, that this will not have an effect either way. I’m pretty firmly convinced that the way to win elections is by turning out the voters on the ground. I think all of this political BS of trying to score points is pretty pointless in the end. If Obama is a mere 5 percent more efficient at turning out his voters he’ll simply win in a landslide. The way to turn out the base is ads like these.

The point is, the Obama folks know a shitload more about this stuff than you give them credit for. I’d be careful what you wish for.

I think that while I’d be happy to see Obama ahead in the polls before the election, I think that his extensive organization (thanks, actually, in a large part to the primary battles), will make a big difference.

McCain’s a shoo-in no matter what, so what the hell are you going on about?
Look, the following comment is not about Republican/Democrat, Red/Blue, McCain/Obama, it’s just a comment.

Do you honestly have no idea how stupid that makes you sound?

Seriously, if I had my way, anyone, Republican or Democrat, who uses “teh” and “Intartubes” (or any variation thereof, such as Innerweb) will be the first up against the wall when the revolution comes.

STOP THAT!!!

Thank you. That’s my rant for the day. What was the thread about again?
